Amoebas Realm:  Relic Series

Survival

Every relic is evidence of a battle once fought for survival.

  • The Relic Series explores the earliest encounters between humanity and the colossal amoebas of the Amoebas Realm. Presented as trophies, artifacts, and fragments of collective memory, these works reflect how knowledge emerges through observation, fear, and adaptation. Much like folklore and oral traditions, each relic preserves a lesson passed from one generation to the next.

    Invisible Monster 07

Presented as a hunting trophy from a distant past, this piece symbolizes humanity's struggle to understand and survive alongside invisible organisms whose influence continues to shape our world.

    Invisible Monster 12

Rooted in a Turkish folkloric tale passed down through generations, where Djinns could be caught with a safety pin. This work explores how stories evolve into cultural knowledge. It reflects the transmission of beliefs and the human tendency to explain the unknown through narrative.

    Invisible Monster 21

Inspired by the iconography of Indian deities, this piece takes the form of a lost record from a forgotten civilization. Blending mythology and speculative archaeology, it explores how fragments of knowledge survive the passage of time, transforming into symbols whose original meanings may be partially lost yet continue to shape collective memory.

  • Logbook of a Digger - No 717

Today, I kept digging, hoping to find what I was searching for... And I discovered a Sils. But this one is different from the others. It was hidden in an alcove uncovered a few months ago, a place where I was the only one allowed to go. For weeks, I said nothing, but it's time to speak up. This discovery raises many questions about the things we are taught in our youth. It's a kind of spear with engravings that resemble constellations, and a stick planted into the ground.

This one is very old... but how long has it been there?

  • Logbook of a Digger - No 919

Many days have passed since I unearthed the first discovery. I’m just a digger, yet something about being the one to reveal it feels significant. Or maybe I just want to believe I’m special...

As the excavation continued, we uncovered a perfectly square cavern. Strange beings were affixed to the walls, as if they had always been there, silently watching. Among them, one stood out. It seemed sealed tightly, almost as if it didn’t want to be disturbed. But when we finally managed to free it, I couldn’t shake the feeling—it was fading, as though it had been holding on for far too long.
