Amoebas Realm: Sealed Series 1.3
Adaptation
Color is a trace of environment.
-
The Sealed Series explores specimens of the Amoebas Realm discovered in extreme thermal environments, where heat, pressure, and mineral-rich conditions, possibly volcanic in origin, have altered their physical structure and pigmentation. These transformations are not external additions, but direct records of environmental influence inscribed into matter itself.
Rather than representing a fixed biological form, the works reflect how living systems adapt and register the conditions in which they exist. Color becomes evidence of geological and thermal history, revealing the intimate relationship between organism and environment.
The series reflects on transformation as a material process shaped by time, intensity, and surrounding forces, where survival is not only biological, but also chemical and structural.
